Highland Base exceeded my high expectations in every aspect, starting with the refreshing cold drink provided upon arrival-a much-needed treat after the challenging journey through rugged terrain. The heating in the cozy cabin was exceptional, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay amidst the remote and stunning mountainous landscape. The attention to detail in the room decor, including the beautiful parquet floors and modern amenities, created a luxurious yet homely feel. The shared kitchen facilities were immaculate, allowing for convenient meal preparation while soaking in the breathtaking views from the terrace. Would highly recommend for a truly unforgettable retreat in the heart of Iceland's wilderness.
